In multiuser detection, the MMSE(minimum mean square error) detector is known to be effective for suppressing co-channel multiple access interference. This method needs training symbols, but recently blind adaptive methods have been proposed. In this paper we propose an adaptive algorithm for blind multiuser detection that uses a new cost function, and report theoretical and simulation results about its performance. It is seen that our new algorithm gives better performance than the existing algorithm.
