LAYERED ENCRYPTION TECHNIQUES FOR DCT-CODED VISUAL DATA (WedAmPO4)

Abstract : Selective encryption technology can be applied efficiently to visual data in scalable representation. In this work we experimentally compare different ways to represent DCT-encoded visual data in a scalable way in terms of their suitability for partial encryption. We find that MPEG-2 SNR scalability is superior to several other approaches.
