IMAGE ENHANCEMENT METHOD USING PIECEWISE LINEAR TRANSFORMS (WedAmOR3)

Abstract : This paper presents an image enhancement method that uses piecewise linear transforms. The determination of this transform is done using a new measure for the mean dynamic range. Firstly the method is defined for monochrome images and secondly is extended for the color ones.
