ROBUST IMAGE TRANSMISSION USING OVERSAMPLED FILTERBANKS (ThuAmPO1)

Abstract : It is well known that the use of redundancy in oversampled filterbanks can be used for obtaining efficient coding schemes. In this paper, we emphasize the fact that they can also be used for resisting transmission errors. Here, an image coding system is established based on an oversampled filterbank. Then, some techniques are derived for detecting and correcting the impulse noise model of the transmission errors. Finally, a full scheme is described, and the performance are evaluated by simulation on a binary symmetric channel.
