ExhibitorsAt EUSIPCO-2008, the following exhibitors will have a booth, where you can find more information about those companies and their activities. Synplicity, a Synopsys Company. The Synopsys Synplify DSP tool offers system, hardware, and algorithm engineering teams the most efficient way to get their algorithms into FPGA or ASIC silicon. It uses a unique ESL synthesis methodology that offers significant productivity and portability advantages over traditional DSP design tools. Synplify DSP combines a high-level modeling library offering multi-rate and vector functions with a powerful DSP synthesis engine allowing designers to quickly capture complex algorithmic behavior. Designers can automatically implement and explore area/speed-optimized HDL architectures from a single model eliminating the burden of hand coding functions and architectural optimizations achieving significantly faster design capture and time to market. Texas Instruments University Programme The European University Programme was established in 1994, with the objective of facilitating the inclusion of world-class, real-time, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) into electrical and electronic engineering research and course curricula. Our region is large and diverse comprising Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Since it began, in our region alone, we have helped to Universities set-up more than 1,000 "DSP Labs". In recent years the scope has expanded beyond DSP, to encompass the complete signal processing chain: processors, microcontrollers, data conversion, power management, low-power FRO (ChipCon) and software. Our primary audience are Lecturers and Researchers in Universities offering Electronics, Computer Engineering and related courses. These related courses have grown dramatically with new fields such as: Biomedical, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science all finding useful ways to use TI technologies. Robert Owen, University Programme Manager, will be joined by Robert Medioni, Field Applications Engineer from Spoerle, a key distributor of TI's tools in Europe. We look forward to meeting EUSIPCO delegates! The IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) is Europe's leading professional organisation for Science, Engineering and Technology. As well as 150,000 members worldwide the lET is responsible for awarding technical qualifications in the UK, publishes the UK Electrical Wiring Regulations and various books and journals in different fields as well as organising seminars. At EUSIPCO the IET is pleased to present the journal lET Signal Processing, one of the flagship publications in this area of research as well as our Visions Package of Journals which is formed of Signal Processing, Image Processing and Computer Vision - offering a complete package of Journals for the Vision and Processing expert. Elsevier is the world's leading publisher of science and health information serving more than 30 million scientists, students, and health and information professionals worldwide. We are proud to play an essential role in the global science and health communities and to contribute to the advancement of these critical fields. By delivering world-class information and innovative tools to researchers, students, educators and practitioners worldwide, we help them increase their productivity and effectiveness. We continuously make substantial investments that serve the needs of the global science and health communities. More information on what we do can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/computerscience. Come by our booth at EUSIPCO and pick up a free copy of our journals and view our latest books in Signal Processing.
