Thursday, 23 June 2005, 13:30-17:00
Room: Konferenz 4

Today Wap/I-mode and SMS+ services are the main source of revenue for mobile entertainment content (ringtones, logos, video, etc.). However they face commercial and technical challenges in delivering high profit mass market content services. Mobile Broadcast technologies are increasingly perceived as the most relevant way to trigger an effective content services take-off. But Mobile Broadcast shall not be seen as a potential threat to these services, because it will surely help foster the wide adoption of mobile data services by achieving several levels of synergies.

Schedule :

1. Mobile broadcast potential content/service
From Live TV, to PVR/Vod type of content, from Video to Music, mobile broadcast could deliver plenty of new content to customers…

2. Mobile broadcast potential user interface/service guide
Could mobile broadcast User Interface be has simple than a TV remote control ? How it could compare to Wap/I-mode

3. Interactivity in the Mobile broadcast value chain
To achieve mobile broadcast promises, many actors should be involved from content editors, to service provider, from the broadcast infrastructure operator to a mobile network operator… Building the right Business model is key to ensure fair share on the revenues and the risks between actors. Interactivity will play a key role
