EURASIP Awards: 2nd Call for Fellow Nominations
EURASIP Fellow nominations are invited with a deadline of October 31st, 2015.

The EURASIP fellowship programme recognizes outstanding achievements of its members and volunteers. Each year, a select group of up to four European signal processing researchers are elevated to EURASIP Fellow, the Association’s most prestigious honour. Fellowships are awarded with a citation of the form “for contributions to ...”, i.e. referring to a major long-term contribution to a technical field.

How to Submit Nominations

Any EURASIP member can nominate a colleague to be elevated to Fellow grade. Nominations should be submitted to the EURASIP Awards Chair by e-mail. The nomination form can be downloaded from the EURASIP website via this link.

The deadline is October 31st of every year. The Board of Directors encourages you to share this information with your colleagues.

EUSIPCO-2015 PhD in 3 minutes
If you are devoting or have devoted 3 or more years to your PhD, you could devote 3 minutes to explain it to a more general public, we challenge you!!

As a new activity within the EUSIPCO2015 conference, the Technical Program Committee is offering a 3 Minutes Thesis (3MT) contest, where PhD students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance. This activity is sponsored by EURASIP, which wants to promote transversal skills of PhD researchers such as oral and presentation skill. If you want to participate, visit the EUSIPCO-2015 website and click on the 3MT announcement.

Important Dates:
Video Submission Deadline: 12th June 2015
Acceptance notification: 22nd June 2015

EUSIPCO is the flagship conference of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP). The 23rd edition will be held in Nice, on the French Riviera, from 31st August -4th September 2015. EUSIPCO 2015 will feature world-class speakers, oral and poster sessions, keynotes, exhibitions, demonstrations and tutorials and is expected to attract in the order of 600 leading researchers and industry figures from all over the world.

EURASIP Summer School on Foundations and Advances in Stochastic Filtering
The third EURASIP Seasonal School (Foundations and Advances in Stochastic Filtering) will be held on 22—26th of June, 2015, in Barcelona. It will cover the theoretical foundations and tackle both methodological advances and state-of-the-art applications of stochastic filtering. The programme is arranged around five one-day tutorials delivered by internationally renowned researchers. The School aims at providing Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers and young scientists the opportunity to meet some of the leading experts in the field and to learn from them.

The School will be held at the headquarters of the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), located in Castelldefels, Barcelona (Spain). The venue is easily accessible worldwide and is well connected to Barcelona downtown (more info). Detailed information can be found in the flyer of the PhD school.
