4G System Proposals in Asia

As mobile and wireless services become a commodity of everyday life, customers and future services will require more data rate at lower cost. Even though 3G solutions are being deployed worldwide, it seems that 3G may not fully satisfy the strong market needs soon. To overcome the technical shortfalls of 3G, enhancement of 3G technologies as well as new OFDM-MIMO based technologies for Beyond 3G systems are being discussed and developed worldwide. This special session will focus on the R&D activities in Asia for B3G mobile systems. The four renowned speakers from Asia will cover near term solutions such as WiBro in Korea and Super 3G by NTT DoCoMo and also introduce long-term R&D activities being developed by industries as well as Government sector.
