The Second International Conference on Image Processing Theory, Tools and Applications washeld July 7– 10, 2010, in Paris, France.The technical program prepared by the Technical Committee includes a number of key note addresses and the latest research findingsin the area of image processing. The initial call for paper resulted in an over whelming response of 228 submissions from Africa, Asia, Europe, and America.
Given the high quality of submissions, the program committee worked veryhard and accepted finally 90 regular papers for presentation. The papers cover avariety of topics in the field of image processing theory, tools and applications with three special sessions considered. In addition, the program included seven keynotes peeches presented by renowned expertsin the field of image processing.
The 2nd International Conference on Image Processing Theory, Tools and Applications IPTA’10 has attracted more than 140 participants and continues to be a platform for leading researchers and practitioners from academia and industry engaged inresearch and development related to image processing theory and applications.
The program committee of IPTA 2010 has given the best student paper award to the authors Kamal Nasrollahi and Thomas B.Moeslund, from Laboratory of ComputerVision& Media Technology, Aalborg University, Aalborg East, Denmark. The very signficant contributionis entitled Hybrid Super Resolution using Refined Face Logs.
