EURASIP Local Liaison Programme and Activity Report

The Local Liaison (LL) program begun in March 2009, since then 14 seminars have been held, the first one was given by Prof. Simon Haykin at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. We are now 61 LL, to find out who your liaison is in your country, we encourage you to visit our website at www.eurasip.org/.

Liaisons are appointed by EURASIP BoD and are chosen to best meet the profile of active people within the Signal Processing community. They are in charge not only of coordinating and stimulating local activities, but also of contributing to promote EURASIP at the national level, increasing the response to problems and inviting young collaborators and colleagues to: submit their PhD theses to the EURASIP PhD data base, gather information for e-news (top-ten articles, job openings, success stories, celebrations, letters to the editor, advices on tutorials, books…). Do not hesitate to contact us and join, especially those of you working in industry.

Information concerning past editions of EURASIP sponsored seminars have been recently updated. Slides from the most recent seminars can be downloaded from the EURASIP website:

Note that you can organize stand-alone seminars or EURASIP seminars within workshops, and apply for EURASIP funding for such activities.

I encourage everyone to organize local liaison events. The actual format of these activities is intentionally left largely undefined. You shall contact one of our local liaisons (www.eurasip.org) and send your application to ana.isabel.perez@upc.edu, you will have a decision on it within one month from its submission.
