President's Message: Announcement EURASIP Fellows |
EURASIP Fellows 2017
In recognition of outstanding achievements in the broad field of Signal
Processing, the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP)
elevates each year a select group of up to a maximum of four scholars to
“EURASIP Fellow”, the Association's most prestigious honor. The award
consists of a certificate that will be presented to the following
individuals during the Opening and Awards Ceremony at EUSIPCO 2017
www.eusipco2017.org, which will be held on the Kos Island (Greece)
from 28 August to 2 September 2017.
Prof. Pierre Comon (GIPSA-lab, CNRS and University of Grenoble Alpes,
France) for contributions to independent component analysis, source
separation and tensor decompositions, with applications to digital
communications, health and environment.
Prof. Yonina Eldar (Technion – Israel Institute of Technology) for
contributions to Sub-Nyquist and Compressed Sampling, Convex
Optimization and Statistical Signal Processing.
Prof. Aggelos Katsaggelos (Northwestern University, IL, USA) for
contributions to the Fields of Image and Video Processing.
Prof. Béatrice Pesquet-Popescu (Télécom ParisTech, France) for
contributions to the theory and practice of image and video compression
and networking.

Event organizers who wish to apply for EURASIP co-sponsorship should send an e-mail to the EURASIP Events Coordinator, containing the following information: (1) Name of the conference/workshop, (2) Place and dates, (3) Previous editions of the conference/workshop, (4) Previous co-sponsorship, (5) Expected number of attendees, (6) Names of plenary speakers, (7) A rationale as to why EURASIP should sponsor the conference/workshop.
